Relaxing Breathwork
Mon, Jun 16 | 8:30PM - 9:00PM UTC
Breathwork for your wellbeing toolkit 🙏
This gentle breathwork session is designed for all experience levels. I guide the group through light seated stretches to release tension, followed by diaphragmatic (belly) breathing, box breathing and 4-7-8 techniques. All you need is a quiet, comfortable space and a desire to bring some relaxation into your day.
Benefits:
Breathwork (intentional breath control) is a powerful mindfulness tool to reduce anxiety, improve mood and strengthen our mind-body connection. These breathing techniques activate our parasympathetic ‘rest and digest’ nervous system – helping us achieve a deeply restorative state of calm.
By regularly engaging the parasympathetic response, we improve our ability to recover from stress and access relaxation more easily when we need it. Our shared intention and collective calm makes it all the more powerful. 🤍 ‘Breath is life’
For extra comfort:
• Wear loose clothing
• Consider dim lighting and a scented candle
• Consider ambient background sound on YouTube

Why Peer Support Matters for Birth Trauma
Birth trauma, whether physical or emotional, can leave lasting impacts that are often misunderstood or minimized by others. Many parents silently carry fear, guilt, or sadness long after the experience. Peer support groups for birth trauma offer a validating space where stories are heard and honored. Connecting with others who have walked the same path fosters healing, emotional release, and the sense that you are not alone.
