Am I a Narcissist?

Tue, Jan 13 | 6:30PM - 7:15PM UTC
Do you know you are not like other 'normal people but could' quite understand what made you different? Have you researched traits that you have but they never quite fit into any box? Have you ever wondered if you fit the NPD box but it doesn't feel quite right? 'Autism (ASD) and Narcissism (NPD) both involve social challenges but differ fundamentally in motivation: Autism stems from neurodevelopmental deficits in understanding social cues, leading to struggles with empathy and communication, while Narcissism involves an inflated ego, fragile self-esteem, and a deliberate lack of empathy to manipulate or gain admiration. Autistic individuals may seem self-centered due to intense interests or difficulty reading people, but often care deeply; narcissists genuinely lack empathy and use others for validation, driven by deep insecurity. Share your experiences, stories and share questions for peers to consider and offer feedback based on their experiences.

Why Peer Support Matters for Aspergers

Living with Asperger's can come with unique challenges in social interaction, communication, and navigating everyday life. These challenges can often feel isolating, especially when others don’t fully understand the neurodiverse experience. Peer support offers a space where people with Asperger's can share common experiences, build social confidence, and connect without the pressure of masking. Finding a community that understands and accepts you can help foster self-acceptance, encourage personal growth, and reduce the sense of being alone.
