As I approach the age of 50, I have accumulated a wealth of experiences, observations, and knowledge throughout my lifetime. This includes both successes and failures, all of which have contributed to my personal growth and development. One important lesson I have learned is the necessity of setting boundaries, particularly in the context of past abusive relationships. While I value being heard, my primary focus is on respectfully listening to others, as I believe this is essential for collective healing from our shared traumas.
In my role as a certified Peer Support Specialist (PSS), my primary focus is on establishing inclusive and welcoming platforms where individuals are provided with the opportunity to openly express and discuss their thoughts and concerns. This safe space allows them to feel heard and supported as they navigate through various situations and challenges. I am committed to fostering an environment where their voices are valued and where they can find relief by sharing their experiences.
The contribution I aspire to make to the community involves sharing experiences that can serve as learning opportunities for all of us. I believe that by coming together and exchanging our diverse perspectives, we can create an environment for personal and collective growth.
