About this Group
Our perinatal bipolar support group is for pregnant & postpartum moms and birthing people up to 4 years postpartum is here to help those navigating symptoms of bipolar, like depression (lows) and mania (highs). Our online groups help you connect with others, talk about your experience, and learn about helpful tools and resources. You do not have to have an official diagnosis to attend the group. These groups are led by PSI-trained support group leaders who have lived experience and/or professional experience. They understand the emotional challenges of pregnancy and postpartum as a mom or birthing person with bipolar disorder. Our groups use a peer-to-peer support model and are not intended for those experiencing a mental health crisis. Please contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (988) for crisis support. We do not allow group observation by students or professionals. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. ***The group space will be closed once we reach 16 members OR we have started talk time. ** 🔔 PLEASE NOTE: THIS GROUP IS FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE. We allow the first 16 members to join. Thank you for understanding! ✅Cameras are required during introductions for the safety of all group members. Please make sure your technology allows you to turn on your camera at least briefly for this portion of the session. ✅The session will take place via Zoom (from the ShareWell website), so make sure your device is compatible with the Zoom app. This may require updating or downloading the Zoom app. Note: This group is not for people processing the details and trauma of pregnancy and/or infant loss.
