Ath
Welcome! My name is Athena, I'm a MSW student therapist/intern at MamaCare Health. I am currently completing my Master of Social Work at the University of Windsor, following my Bachelor of Indigenous Social Work from Laurentian University. I am known for a warm, approachable presence and genuine smile. I believe that creating a safe, non-judgemental, and positive space is the first step toward healing. I have worked in many roles over the past decade supporting single parents, family mediation, facilitating child friendly environments, and providing life skills trainings to families. Along with my many years of studying and certifications, my approach is rooted in advocacy, empathy, cultural humility, and the belief that healing happens when people feel seen, safe, and empowered. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting mothers, parents, and families through some of life’s biggest transitions—from parenting and child development to mental health, self-care, and navigating difficult circumstances.

"It was GREAT!! It really, really helped me. Awesome discussion and facilitating!!"
"Athena is awesome!! I'm so glad I joined today. I felt so heard and understood. She is extremely professional, easy to talk to and relate to. It's a very vulnerable topic but I felt comfortable instantly and it's easy to see she really enjoys this work and wants to help people. If you are TTC I would not hesitate to join this group!"
"I really loved chatting with these women today. Everyone had insightful things to say and it really helped validate a lot of the negative feelings I was having about being a mom. "

I’m passionate about creating spaces where parents feel heard, understood, and supported.
