I am.... - On a mission to heal my life - An animal lover & advocate - Nature lover - Compassionate - Spiritual (but a bit sacrilegious); I know I am a beautiful soul living a challenged, messy human life - Interested in psychology, spirituality, abuse recovery, nature, growing my soul - Learning to trust my intuition - Learning to be an Intuitive Communicator (animal communicator, medium...) History.... My 89 y.o. mother is a covert/vulnerable narcissist. My father passed in 2024. He simply joined in her abuse starting when I was about 8 years old. And then there was religious abuse. I bought into the Christian (Protestant) beliefs 100%. However, I couldn't understand why I was being abused but: "Honor thy father and mother" led me to the incorrect belief that I'd understand the "sacred" purpose when I was grown. Well, that didn't happen! At 18, I was so baffled that God would allow such abuse to a believer that I thought God must be superstition. Twenty-five years after that decision, listening to countless NDEs and mediums brought me back to the spiritual world, but I will never be religious again. I haven't slept well since 2012 when I had a massive shock. I think cortisol keeps me from being able to return to sleep. I'm working on solving insomnia. My abuse recovery started at 29 but back then, 40 years ago and up until fairly recently, the info was misguided and often just plain wrong! The umpteen counselors I've been to made matters worse. They all jumped on the bandwagon of: YOU NEED BOUNDARIES. So, I'd set a gentle boundary with my narc. mother or emotionally closed husband and got verbally abused or they'd argue endlessly! There are some terrible counselors out there. One even told me that she didn't believe me when I told her about my childhood abuse! Then 8 years ago, I found a great 21 year old student counselor at SAAFE House who understood abuse recovery and finally I started to understand what was "wrong" in my life. That experience finally put me on the right path to healing so much abuse. I was in my 60s!

What I Hope to Share

HOPE TO CONTRIBUTE - I'm compassionate and have empathy. I am mostly a good listener (sometimes, my mind gets distracted but I am working to calm my mind & nervous system). I know how to hold space for others. I understand people don't want advice (I like the adage: (Never give advice because a fool won't heed it and a wise man doesn't need it) AND they don't want blank stares either - at least, I don't. 馃槃 Sometimes when someone is struggling with something I have already been through, I have input as to what helped me and would like to offer it up as in: "This helped me..." but when that's against a group's rules, I refrain. I've done a lot of healing from enormous pain and struggle, lived a long time, and am a HSP. I think these are assets. For the most part, I am non- judgemental. Sometimes I catch myself judging another and I examine this within myself and am almost always able to see it in a different light. HOPE TO GAIN - Space to be heard. Understanding. Acceptance.

What Brought Me to ShareWell

In a word, loneliness. I have so much to share, discuss, brainstorm, heal, celebrate....and no one that I know has time (takes time), shares the same interests, or has a clue about cptsd/narcissistic abuse recovery.
