My name is Nat and I'm healing from the effects of trauma. The biggest difficulty I live with is panic attacks and agoraphobia and that is what I am focussed on healing at the current time. I'm also diagnosed autistic and that adds a layer of difficulty to the trauma effects I live with. I've spent a long time in relative solitude and I am now looking to start reconnecting with the world again, albeit tentatively! I've been lucky enough to have had 3 years of Internal Family Systems therapy (IFS) which has started to put a dent into the trauma symptoms I live with. I'm building on this with regular meditation which I've also found quite beneficial. I'm not religious but I have found learning about meditation from a Buddhist perspective has been useful. I've learnt to prioritise my health and well being now and follow good routines for food, sleep and exercise. My priorities now are to increase my confidence with going outside more and interacting with people more, both online and in the outside world. I need to add more activities and social interactions into my life which is why I joined here. I live with my two beautiful cats, who are my world. I enjoy playing the piano and online gaming.

What I Hope to Share
I hope to be able to connect with other people and perhaps make some new friendships. I would also like to find some regular online activities that are geared up for people with trauma. I'm particularly interested in meditation groups, yoga and/or somatic movement groups, music for healing groups. I'm also interested in seeing if there are any people about in my age group (I'm 48 years old).

I joined to see what it was all about here. I've been looking for places to try online for a while, that suit my needs. I am looking to find online activities and social events that suit my trauma needs for connection.
