Shaera H.
(she/her)
There was a time when my nervous system felt like it was running my life: bipolar cycles, dissociation, seasonal depression. I wasn’t broken. I was overwhelmed and unskilled. Recovery became a daily practice: not perfection, not positivity, but learning how to regulate, pause, and choose grounded responses. Today I’m a Certified Mental Health Peer Specialist and Wellness Coach. I use and model skills from ACT, DBT, and CBT to support emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and steady decision-making. My work is human-to-human. No fixing. No hierarchy. Just co-regulation, empathy, and helping you reconnect with your own agency. I’m spiritual (not religious) and honor each person’s path without judgment. Outside of peer work, I practice tarot and evidential mediumship. You are not broken. You are adapting. If you’re looking for grounded, lived-experience support, I’d be honored to work with you one-on-one. And yes, my cat Ten is an adorable velvet assassin.

"A specialist listened to me well and was able to relate to what I was going through and she told me that I am not alone and it made me feel not alone."
"Very good listener. I felt heard, validated, and understood"
"Sha not only is a good listener but her personal experience contributes to a better understanding and a feel of hopefulness."
"She is knowledgeable and welcoming, we had a clear and honest conversation, very friendly and at points even fun. I was triggered by an interruption, but she provided room to talk about it."
"Shae helps me find the joy in life. This week she reminded me to savor life's experiences and rejoice in the beauty of nature. In the end she encouraged me to consider my self help goals and how to plan to make them possible in my daily experience. "
"This is my second call with Shaera, and I am glad I booked it. She's very easy to talk with-all the things I would hope for from a support professional. Kind, insightful, a good listener, sure, but also with good energy where I felt seen, and I felt comfortable sharing difficult stuff. I am a little shy, and I hope that if this message reaches a shy person who is wondering if they should try to reach out to her: yes, you should."
