My story is ever growing and shaping as Sharewell helps keep me fueled on lose support, accountability, and intentional living. I live with chronic pain and am recovering from reinjury in 2024 to my hip and neck that has been both a blessing and a curse since it revealed nerve damage and central sensitization. Having a longer recovery time for the depression and anxiety that brought me to Sharewell has enabled me to start reflecting on the work I tend to avoid or dismiss because I can get by without for a time until a change and the pattern that was never broken or overwritten returns. Sharewell provides safe spaces for me to work on my social anxiety, autistic shutdowns (flat affect), and intrusive thoughts. The platform is a service I am grateful for as an introvert because it’s not easy moving through the wellness and healthcare spheres without a place for soft landings and virtual hugs.
I came to Sharewell because, in the past, peer support has been a vital part of my mental health toolkit, and this platform affords a safe space to gain insight, resources, and emotional support.
I hope to share my passion for art through visual thought, embracing nuance and the nourishment of context. I strive to listen actively and hold space for truth for myself and my fellow Sharewellian peers. My dream is that we move from this space like ripples in water, carrying our growth forward into the wider world.
