Burl Amber Smith
For a long time, I lived behind a mask, trying to manage stress, depression, addictions and struggling relationships on my own. I thought 'getting better' meant doing it perfectly and doing it alone. The turning point for me was finally admitting I couldn't do it by myself—it was the scariest but most life-changing thing I've ever done. Today, my life is built on a foundation of honest personal growth and healthy boundaries. I’m not here as an 'expert' who has it all figured out, but as someone who has walked through the fire, found the exit, and wants to walk beside you as you find yours.

What I Hope to Share
What I hope to contribute: A safe space to be 'imperfect.' I want to contribute a listening ear for those who are tired of pretending they have it all together. I bring a deep understanding of how mental health affects every part of life and a passion for helping people rediscover their worth. What I hope to gain: I hope to gain real, mask-off connections. In a world that often feels superficial, I’m looking for the genuine human 'spark' that happens when two people are honest about their journeys. Supporting you keeps me grounded in my own recovery.
What Brought Me to ShareWell
I remember the specific weight of the 'hard days'—the days when you feel like no one understands what you're going through. When I was in the thick of my recovery and relationship work, I found that traditional spaces sometimes felt too clinical. I joined ShareWell because I believe the most powerful healing happens when we realize we aren’t alone in our mess. I’m here to pay forward the support that saved me and to help create the kind of safe, judgment-free space I once desperately needed.

"Very good share, thank you everyone. I appreciated the openness to listen, share and reflect on the possibilities that are available to make the human experience more understandable and meaningful. Peace all 🙏"

"Thank you for your time and thank you for a really fun conversation. I really felt comfortable being myself with you and my instinctive comfort is proof that our conversation was worthwhile and meaningful. Like I said with my intro message, I really wanted to see what the peer meeting thing felt like, and my overall impression of you in this call has basically sold me on the idea (I also have a healthy instinct about whether someone were trying to "sell" me or whatever but that was not the case.) I know I didn't need to explain but see what I did there all the same. Thank you, sincerely-even if I decide not to do this again it won't be any particular reason. (we might meet again!"
"Good group grateful to listen and share"
