My mental health journey began when a "dream" teaching position became a nightmare. I experienced anxiety, depression, and delusions. With prayer, public service and education concerning my bipolar schizoaffective disorder, I found hope. My working experience includes: teaching day care, English as a Second Language, Basic Writing Skills, Fundamentals of Writing, and GED. Through my life experieces, I have learned to enjoy listening to others. I have written "Awareness, Acceptance and Appreciation", as well as assorted devotionals.

What I Hope to Share
I hope to help others be empowered by the writing process. By choosing a word, such as "patience," I hope to guide participants in pondering, organizing their ideas, writing, encouraging and reflecting on wherever they may be in their recovery journey.
What Brought Me to ShareWell
In January 2026, my peer specialist introduced me to ShareWell. Since then I have enjoyed creative writing, journaling and group hosted sessions on depression and anxiety. I even had the opportunity to co-host sessions.
