I’m Ilay Polat, MSc, a Dallas based Integrative Wellness Practitioner with a background in nutrition, health coaching and behavior change. I’m deeply interested in how stress, emotions, daily circumstances and our relationship with ourselves can affect the choices we make. I also understand what it feels like to know what might help, yet find it difficult to follow through when life feels overwhelming. My own experiences have taught me that meaningful change rarely comes from more pressure or another perfect plan. It often begins with feeling understood, noticing what is happening and finding one realistic place to begin. Outside of my work, I enjoy reading, learning about the mind body connection, spending time in nature, exploring spiritual practices and relaxing with my cat, Lili.

What I Hope to Share
I want to help create spaces where people can share at their own pace, reflect without judgment and feel respected in their individual experiences. When appropriate, I also hope to offer simple practices that support awareness, grounding and more intentional choices, while remaining within the boundaries of peer support and wellness education. I’m excited to learn from the community, strengthen my group facilitation skills and better understand how shared experiences can help people feel more connected and supported.
What Brought Me to ShareWell
I came to ShareWell because I believe people need spaces where they can speak honestly, feel understood and realize they are not alone. In both my personal life and professional work, I have seen how stress and difficult life experiences can affect eating, energy, relationships, routines and the way we care for ourselves. Information can be helpful, but information alone is not always enough. Connection, reflection and compassionate support can make change feel more possible. ShareWell gives me an opportunity to support meaningful conversations, learn from other people’s experiences and continue developing my group facilitation skills.
