I am a semi-retired, compassionate, and empathetic individual who aims to share my lived experience with others. I have 39 years in recovery and have learned to practice living a spiritual, principle -centered life. During all of my adult life, I worked in the human service field and was dedicated to improving the quality of life for children, fam's ilies, i and individuals. Through my work , l helped people obtain their personal life's goals, and overcome many challenges. As a certified peer support specialist, I would like to be able to continue that work with anyone who is in need of support through addiction and recovery, mental health challenges, and life’s trials. Over the last 15 years, I’ve lost both my mother and my father to cancer, live with a degenerative eye condition which affected my vision, got married and divorced in recovery, lost many friends and relatives and I am still grateful. Wil While life will bring challenges, I still have a positive outlook and live with the joy and gratitude that comes from a spiritually centered existence. While I’m aging through this process, I still feel that I have plenty to share and give to others and would be energized by the opportunity.
