(He/him)

My life has always felt like a long search for understanding — not just of myself, but of why things unfold the way they do, what shapes us, and how meaning fits into the chaos. Even as a kid, I sensed there were things about me that didn’t line up with the world around me. I didn’t have the language for it, and I didn’t have the background to make sense of it. Being adopted at nine months meant growing up without any access to my biological family’s medical or mental‑health history. I didn’t know about the congenital issue that caused sleep apnea and bedwetting, or how years of disrupted oxygen during development can influence a brain. I just knew I felt different, and I didn’t know why. Without that knowledge, I tried to manage neurochemical needs I didn’t know I had. Food became the first coping mechanism. I gained weight, and that opened the door to teasing and torment — at school, at home, everywhere. I didn’t understand why I reacted the way I did or why I couldn’t regulate myself like other kids. As I got older, alcohol became the next thing that “worked.” I didn’t realize it at the time, but it was hitting the dopamine and serotonin pathways my genetics had set me up to crave — the temporary confidence, the calm, the relief from the internal noise. It filled gaps I didn’t yet know existed. Everything changed when I finally did a DNA test as an adult. That was the moment the whole picture came together. I learned I had markers tied to ADHD, GAD, depression, and dopamine‑processing differences that explained decades of patterns. It didn’t excuse anything, but it finally gave me context. It gave me a framework for understanding why my life unfolded the way it did. With that knowledge, I’ve been able to rebuild myself in a way that actually fits how my brain works. I understand my impulses, my sensitivities, my patterns, and the neurochemical architecture behind them. I’m not fighting blind anymore. I’m working with the wiring I have instead of judging myself for not having someone else’s. I’ve always been a deep thinker — drawn to universal law, cosmic concepts, and the idea that consciousness, biology, and experience all intersect. Learning about my genetics didn’t just explain my past; it gave me a foundation to build meaning on. It helped me understand why I am the way I am, and it gave me a clearer sense of how to move forward. I’m rebuilding now with clarity I never had growing up — combining what science tells me about my brain with the philosophical and spiritual frameworks that help me make sense of life as a whole.

What I Hope to Share

hope to contribute honesty, empathy, and lived experience. I’m not here to preach or pretend I have everything figured out. I’m here to show up authentically, to listen, and to support others in whatever way I can. What I hope to gain is clarity, connection, and a sense of community. I want to keep growing, keep learning, and keep refining the way I understand myself and the world. I want to be part of a space where people help each other move forward — not by fixing each other, but by being present, real, and human.

What Brought Me to ShareWell

I came to ShareWell because I reached a point where understanding myself wasn’t enough — I wanted connection, reflection, and community. I’ve done a lot of inner work alone, but healing doesn’t happen in isolation. It happens when people share their experiences, their insights, and their truth. I’m here because I value real conversations. I value spaces where people show up as they are, without masks or performances. I’m here to learn from others, to hear perspectives I haven’t lived, and to be part of something that supports growth instead of judgment. ShareWell feels like the kind of environment where people can talk openly about the things that shaped them — the hard parts, the confusing parts, the parts that don’t fit neatly into a box. That’s the kind of space I want to be in.
