Nannette McIntyre
I am a Mom, Yaya, and Certified Peer Recovery Supporter. I am passionate about advocating for victims of trauma, domestic violence, strangulation, brain injury, and recovery. As a survivor, I bring my lived experiences to the changes I want to see in the world. When I started my recovery journey, I wish peer support had been an option. I am so grateful it is now. It is an honor to be a part of it. On the personal/hobby side, I enjoy cooking, baking, gardening, and spending time with my family. Pinterest is my happy place! One day, I'll get around to making all of the recipes I've pinned, and my yard will be a showstopper with my DIY projects.

What I Hope to Share
I bring a lifetime of experiences and knowledge that I hope to share with others in earlier phases of recovery. I feel that we are at our best when we support one another in both good and bad times, celebrating the wins and advocating in tough times. Creating a peer community does that. We bring our whole selves to the experience, learning and growing from the wisdom of the group members. I am so excited to grow with the group.
What Brought Me to ShareWell
ShareWell's mission so inspires me. Support should not be limited to the lucky few who can afford pricey healthcare. It is admirable to have a funded tier that supports a free level of care. Opening the doors to peer-supported care is progressive, and having it accessible to people from the comfort of their homes is outstanding.
