“Resilience Runs Parallel to Life” is a topic inspired by a book by Snape and Weeks and the Workshops of McBride and Shawnti B. The expert coaches and peer advisors are here and available to all of us on Sharewell. That said, I have discovered that building and maintaining resilience is like training for a 100 mile bike ride (which I have done), For me it is not something I can decide to do the week before the ride… I must train. If you are like me then I hope this session can help you and me train in building resilience. Through thought, verbalization, journaling and sharing we can all build our individual resilience so that we can weather whatever storm comes our way. Please join, bring a pen, paper and openness. The structure of the session is like a workshop where there will be a discussion of resiliency, a couple of exercises with a 3 to 5 minute window of self-reflection to complete the exercise and then a sharing of those who wish to share. I will reserve a large window of time but other than beating the window to enter the room you are under no obligation to stay the entire time. If we finish the planned set of exercises earlier than anticipated the session will end then with no need to stay the entire scheduled amount of time. Not necessary to be on camera after initial introductions, but max amount of screen time appreciated to give others peace of mind that you bring the same vulnerability to the group as we all do. In regards to “substances”, If it is legal in the shared country, state and other municipality… Who am I to say it is not? Special note: My personal interest will be towards the population of AuDHD but this is a topic that is always applicable to all.
