(He/They)
Hi, my name is Dominic, I have a background in social services, with special focus on recovery specialist and youth specialist. I have CPTSD, schizoaffective disorder bipolar type, anxiety, ADHD, and OCD. I am a survivor of SA, PA and DV. I am also a recovered addict and recovered alcoholic. I live my life helping others, and continually learning. At times we all need an ear to listen, including the people that often spend their time listening to others.
Host Reviews
"I love Dom's facilitation skills and empathy. They give everyone a chance to share if they'd like and asks if they're open to feedback. They have such a calm, grounding presence and keeps the whole container anchored. I feel safe in their groups. I had a great time with them and my peers."
"Thanks Kathy for covering for Dom. Great conversations with friends. "
"Group kept going even though host didn’t show up - great participation from everyone! "

What I Hope to Share
I hope to gain a sense of belonging, understanding and self again, I also hope to contribute what I receive. I know the value of being listened to when you feel alone, of being seen when you feel invisible, and being appreciated when you feel worthless.
What Brought Me to ShareWell
What brought me to Sharewell was the need to not feel alone, that I wasn't the only one going through my situation, coming out of an almost 10 year marriage, the last 3 years being trapped in a dark cycle of emotional abuse and severe manipulation. It left me feeling shattered, useless, and unworthy, no longer knowing the person left in the aftermath. I'm working one day at a time to pick up the pieces, and decided peer support would be an integral part of my healing.
