When I became a mother for the first time in 2019, I had a traumatic birth and an incredibly tough postpartum period. Within the first few weeks of my baby's life, I realized that emotionally, I wasn't adequately prepared for her arrival. I cried a lot in secret, I felt like a failure as a mother, I didn’t know where to get help, I was also afraid that my baby would be taken away from me if I was perceived to be an “unfit” mother so I suffered in silence. Once the dust had settled, I drew on my professional experience as a Skills Facilitator to pull myself out of the dark hole I was in by developing knowledge sharing material for those, just like me, in pursuit of personal fulfillment, healthy relationships, adapting to change skills, elevated levels of peace and the likes.

What I Hope to Share
The sessions I intend on hosting are not only limited to mothers so I'm hoping to contribute healing, peace, and confidence to all those who are struggling with the topics I will be addressing. I'm also looking forward to learning from everyone who attends my sessions because I strongly believe each one has something to contribute to my life too.
What Brought Me to ShareWell
My experience taught me that there are a lot of unspoken truths about the emotional strain of motherhood and I believe they are kept taboo because similar to me, moms are ashamed, embarrassed or afraid to speak openly about them and seek help. There’s truly a gap between the beautiful pictures of moms in maternity magazines and reality – I would like to fill that gap, not only for the moms but for their friends, partners, colleagues, and family too.
