Realizing that I had become alienated from my friends and family and being told that I was the abuser by the one who left. My children and close friends who stayed back during the relationship have told me so many things that happened behind my back, and they had no idea what I was going through behind closed doors. I have lost my sense of self, my confidence, my joy, and my ability to understand daily function.
