I’m 26 and have been on a healing journey since I was 18. I come from an extremely religious family which has very much limited the love and emotional support I receive. I’ve experienced a lot of trauma in my life, the most recent one being separating from my abusive husband. I am now a single mom to an almost 3 year old boy and I want to learn emotional regulation so the cycle of abuse can end with him. I love yoga, CleanTok (iykyk), Qi Gong, and rewatching childhood movies to self soothe.

What I Hope to Share
I hope to contribute a listening ear and validation to my peers. Sharewell taught me that I’m not alone even though almost every person in my personal circle doesn’t know much about mental health or how to provide emotional support. I haven’t been listened to my entire life and that has caused me to lose my sense of self and trust in myself. I hope to feel seen, heard, and understood after Sharewell sessions and usually I do!
What Brought Me to ShareWell
I was referred to Sharewell by my group therapist when I was part of an IOP program due to postpartum depression. Sharewell was instrumental to my healing when I left my husband and had to process what he had done to me. When I first left I’d do three groups a day just to stay afloat. I’m a mom of a very active toddler so I don’t have time for groups as much anymore but try to make it as much as I can.
