Nonbinary neurodivergent philosophical queer with an unquenchable thirst for learning/knowledge. Survivor of a vindictive, covert narcissist in the form of my mother - who I still live with - and a S.A. survivor from incest. I’ve been diagnosed with Anxiety, ADHD, OCD, CPTSD, and gender dysphoria/body dysmorphia. It’s a lot to deal with. But that’s why we’re all here, right?! I’m just taking things day by day, one step at a time. Who knows what tomorrow will bring!
I originally came here off of a suggestion from my old therapist...she said she thought that I could use a space where I heard other people talking about similar areas that I’m struggling with. I joined May 4th (May The Fourth Be With You!!!) and fully understand now why she suggested that I should be a part of group sessions. The clincher for wanting to join was all the NPD sessions. Before ShareWell, I genuinely thought that I was the only one experiencing what I’ve experienced. I take great solace in knowing there are others who also feel what I feel and have felt.
I just want to be seen, validated and heard. I want to give and receive solace in knowing that our stories share common ground. I hope that throughout the meaningful connections I hope to make, I can gain a better understanding of myself as well as the world around me through the lens of other perspectives in an effort to broaden my mindset and deepen my ever-growing curiosity for that which I do not yet understand.
