Jasmine95

Hi, I'm Jasmine. I live with a genetic neuromuscular condition called spinal muscular atrophy and use my voice to advocate for disability rights, mental health, emotional wellness, and inclusive connection. After moving from New York City to a small Amish town in Pennsylvania, I found healing and purpose through building online communities, where people offer authentic support, and I no longer feel so alone in my struggles. Through both personal experiences and my journey as a social work student, I've learned the power of vulnerability, resilience, and showing up for one another, just as we are.

What I Hope to Share

I hope to contribute honesty, compassion, and encouragement to others who may feel unseen or unheard. I know how powerful it can be to have someone say, “I understand,” and I want to be that presence for someone else. At the same time, I hope to gain connection, emotional support, and a more profound sense of community, where I don’t have to explain myself, but can be myself and continue healing with others who are on their own journeys too.

What Brought Me to ShareWell

What brought me to ShareWell was the need for a space where I could be real, without judgment, pressure, or pretending I’m okay when I’m not. Living with a physical disability along with anxiety, depression, PTSD, and navigating significant life changes has shown me how isolating things can feel, even when surrounded by others. I was looking for a community where people truly listen and understand, and ShareWell felt like that safe place to be heard, to heal, and to grow alongside others who get it.
