Visualization, sound healing, meditation, healing hands, mantra, gentle mudra yoga, chanting, breath work and more are some of the things we will do. Each session will have a different practice from an Eastern medicine tradition that will be done as a group, guided by the host. There will be plenty of time afterwards to share experiences of the practice.
Eastern medicine traditions are holistic including aspects of body, mind and spirit. As well these traditions focus on achieving balance (e.g. Yin-Yang balance). At times sessions will incorporate a discussion on a topic related to one of these Eastern medicine principles. We will explore how we can incorporate an aspect of the principle into our daily lives.
It will helpful to have a notebook or something to write on.
A typical session will have the following sequence:
• Introduction of host
• Round table check in (optional) – your name, how you’re doing, your experience, if any, with Eastern practices
• Short reflection – self compassion & compassion for others
• Guided practice – visualization, healing hands or other
• Sharing (optional) your experience
• Dedicating merit of our practice together for all
