In this sixty minute session on meditation we will break up the time. The first thirty minutes will be in silence or a guided mediation. Before the meditation begins, we will choose a technique to work on during the meditation. Which, we will discuss or comment on what was enhanced or coming up in our practice with this technique. The last part of the session will be a open share. The shares could be on interpersonal experiences of the sit, express insight of the group topic of the day, questions about meditation, enlightenment or simply being present for others to share. The benefits to meditation -Gives you a new way to look at things that cause stress. -Builds skills to manage stress. -Develops better self-awareness. -Helps focus on the present. -Reduces negative thoughts or feelings. -Helps with creativity. -Increases patience’s; -Deregulates the nerves system.
